Having had a fair gap since our last match, we were today entertained by the Middlesex team at Mill Hill Golf Club. In ideal golfing conditions, it was a very close contest indeed as can be seen from the match result sheet  published on the County website. There were three matches that really went to the wire but finished in the end as 1 up results to Middlesex. A very close call indeed. There were good wins from Charlie Snelling, Harry Williams and Peter Jones. Bill Love also did well in taking half a point from his match. Although the end result was an obvious loss, the match itself was so close and could have gone either way. It was good to see Brendan Walsh back in the side having had some back problems for a while. Two key players – Phil Corke and Graham Crawford - were absent from our side due to availability problems. So that's the last match of the season now and we can all look forward to an exciting new season next year. My thanks to all the guys that have played for the Seniors this year and look forward to probably  meeting most of them again in the Seniors Winter League matches.
